Psalm 22:27-28
"All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations."
New Testament Fulfillment
Revelation 7:9-10
"After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb... And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.""
Commentary
Psalm 22 is a remarkable journey from desolation to universal praise. The Psalm that begins with "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" ends with a vision of all nations worshiping. This arc, from suffering to glory, is the arc of the gospel itself.
